Review of Zesty Paws Calming Bites™ for Cats.

I have 3 cats now and each of them have their own purrsonality. They all tolerate each other, to a point & now that I have been working from home it has been increasingly more difficult to keep them in check while working.  Mostly because of what I just said, that they tolerate each other, but don't always get along.

To the left is Maka'Alohi, AKA 'Alohi or Mini. She is approximately 11 years old & probably the most neurotic & amxious.  She's a loner but loves when we give her head scritches, and can be very affectionate when she wants to be by giving head rubs & little licks.  She'd had a lot going on with a recent surgery that she has finally recovered from, but she has never really got along with the other cats.  She will hiss, spit, growl, and swat at them if they get too close.

Aspara-Gus is in the center. We usually just call him Gus & he is our only boy.  We're not really sure how old he is, possibly around 8-10.  He is the happiest of creatures & my lap buddy.  He's quite the oddball as well & I call him my puppy because he loves pats & belly rubs.  He can get a bit aggressive with 'Alohi at times & those are usually the 2 I have to break up tussles with.

Nacho, AKA Nugget, is on the right.  She is our baby & the newest member of our family.  Just a little over 1 year old she still wants to play with everything and is the most curious.  She knows to steer clear of 'Alohi but gets a bit crazy with Gus at times.  Those 2 chase each other around & she will jump on him & sometimes he cares, sometimes not.

Nacho gnawing on Gus's ear & him taking it.

Now that I have been working from home & on the phone the majority of my day, I need them to calm down!  'Alohi will come to my side when I am trying to talk on the phone & LOUDLY meow at me.  She'll start growling & hissing at Gus or Nacho if they are too close.  I know they are never going to be the best of friends but I needed something to keep them calm and relaxed during the day.  So when I had the opportunity to try Calming Bites for Cats by Zesty Paws I knew I had to!

  • About The Product:  When our cats are upset, we’re upset. But with our Calming Bites, you don’t have to worry. These yummy chewables are perfect for those moments when your fur baby may be a little off their paws.  Whether it’s a thunderstorm, fireworks, or when you have company over, our Calming Bites are sure to help your feline keep calm.  Designed to promote calmness and composure, the Zesty Paws All Ages Calming Bites Salmon Flavored Cat Supplement is a must have for any scaredy-kitty.  These bites feature premium ingredients to naturally help keep your furbaby calm, cool and collected.  An omega-3 fatty acid supports brain health.  A combination of L-tryptophan and chamomile extract helps to support your tense, stressed, restless or hyperactive kitty.  These chews also include melatonin, which supports your stressed and tense kitty, promoting normal, relaxed behavior.  These tasty chews are su-paw easy to feed and are free of bad stuff like corn, wheat, artificial flavoring or preservatives.
  • How To Use:  Give up to 2 chews per day. Begin with half the suggested serving, and gradually increase to the suggested daily amount. Amounts can be split between AM and PM.
  • What I Thought:  I was skeptical at 1st & 'Alohi was the one cat I was really hoping this would help!  When I opened the package they all immediately came running in to inspect what smelled so good.  I started with 1/2 a bite per cat twice a day for a few days, & then went to one bite per cat twice a day after.  Nacho & Gus loved them & gobbled them up, but 'Alohi was skeptical herslef of this new "treat."  For her I crumbled it onto her food & she would eat it up, but this morning she ate a full bite on its own. (Yay!)  These bites are not going to knock your cats out or make them like each other, but they really do have a calming effect to them as I have noticed less aggressiveness and anxiety in them while I've been home.  The package is a bit hard to read with the white writing on the yellow & with it being so small.  The fact that it contains melatonin & suntheanine (L-Theanine) is something I am familiar with as I take these supplements myself to help with my own anxiety and stress and know they work for me w/out side effects!  The ingredients are simple and free of artificial junk too so I'm happy to be giving my cats something they think of as a treat, that will be good for them, and help benefit their moods too.  I also had to contact Zesty Paws customer service directly for something & they were super nice & helpful!
  • I would buy these!

I'm very happy, and seriously surprised with the outcome of using these. You can even save an additional 5% if you select Autoship on Chewy.com or currently save an extra 20% off directly through Zesty Paws with code STOCKUP!  I can't guarantee this works on every cat but it's helping make my home life and kitties lives less stressed!

Review of Washi Tape Rainbow Set of 20 Rolls by United Tapes.

Not sure how the rest of you are doing with the pandemic going on but I truly hope all are well.  I have been cooped up in my home for far too long & there's only so much cleaning I can do before I hate it (which is like 1 minute of cleaning) and I've been watching far too much TV as well.  I am blessed to be working my butt off from home but I do miss engaging with my coworkers and customers face to face.  So I've been trying to find other crafty things to do to keep me inspired.

Now those of you who know me personally know I do these things called Decos.  These are booklets that are sent through the mail that are either themed or not.  It is made for a particular person & you decorate a page in it, then mail it to another person, they decorate a page then mail it to another person, and so on until the book is full.  Once it is, it gets returned to its rightful owner to enjoy. I have been doing this for years.  It's kind of like scrapbooking through the mail.

What I usually use my washi tape stash for is my Decos.  Adding a colorful pop, or a nice decorative border to a page I have done, but I have been dabbling in using it for other things.  So I was happy to get this washi set & below I have a bit about the product, what I used it for, & where you can get your hands on this great deal!

    • STICKY AND FLEXIBLE: These washi tapes are sticky but also very easy to peel off and reapply. They can be reapplied many times before they start to lose their adhesive properties. Don't hesitate to use on walls; they will leave no residue behind if you choose to remove them. Great for children.
    • SCISSOR-LESS: Don't get stuck having to use scissors to cut through washi tape. Scissors are not necessary for these tapes. Make your life easier by going scissor-less.
    • CUTE, FUNCTIONAL, & DURABLE PACKAGING: These washi tapes come in a cute sized rectangular cuboid/box. After Decorating til you drop this box is perfect for storing your washi tapes until your next washi adventure. No tape organizer or storage box necessary.
  • How To Use: Pull desired amount from roll & either cut or rip then place on object.  It's that simple!  Perfect for calendars, planners, journals, envelopes, folders, or whatever your heart desires
  • What I Thought: Included are some pictures of things I have done & the list below.  These are definitely vibrant & come in fun design, & a small case with a plastic cover to keep them in place.  Besides the obvious, borders on my Decos I do & sealing envelopes, I'm posting some different things I tried using these tapes.  I found it was really easy to remove right after applying if you placed it a bit off and want to get it right, but after a day or so, if on thin paper, the bond seems to be more sealed & it will tear the paper.
    • Made a bookmark. This turned out pretty cool.  I had some decorative plastic I wrapped the washi around, punched a hole in to to add some ribbon (probably the hardest part, and wrapped the washi around it.  Can you guess the book I'm reading?
    • Made a pretty pen grip. These pens I like to use can be quite slippery at times so the washi added some nice decoration to them & made them easier to grip.
    • Placed the washi tape around a paper tube (toilet paper or paper towel tube) & add a little gift of money or candy on the inside & pinch the ends.  Great for little holiday gifts & even can be recycled! The size of the tape didn't work well for using it the way I did, but if you go around, instead of up & down like I did, it would work a lot better & easier to trim excess if needed.
    • Used it to frame photos and keep them easily attached to the wall. Frames can be a pain to hang, don't usually come in fun designs or colors, and you usually have to put a nail in the wall to hang them.  This was a simple way to showing off some photos in a more creative way.  I had some OLD photos of me & my besties I put up near my work area.
    • Made a card using the washi as birthday cake layers & adding my own touch.  The photo is of the card in process.  It didn't turn out exactly how I hoped but it's a cute idea & the best gifts are always handmade.
    • I decorated the cork board I had laying around.  It was pretty ugly on its own but the washi added a really nice touch to it!  It's now more enjoyable to look at when I use it!  I was cutting it with a craft knife at first, but found I could just use my nail to cut through by the edges & it actually was much easier.
  •  I would buy this!   You can use them for a multitude of things & I really liked the designs.  You can currently purchase this for $14.99 at Amazon.com.  That's like $0.75 per roll which is an GREAT deal!
